At Denteast, we genuinely love highlighting local businesses that bring positive energy, care, and meaningful experiences to the Fort Lauderdale community. One of those places that quickly became part of our daily life is Dogdrop–  conveniently located right next to us inside the Motif building in Downtown Fort Lauderdale.

For almost a year now, Kiki has been spending time there, and honestly, the transformation has been beautiful to watch.

Dogdrop is an Ideal Place for Your Dog’s Emotional Development and Socialization

Like many dogs, Kiki always had a sweet personality, but Dogdrop helped her grow even more socially and emotionally. Through regular interaction, playtime, and guidance from the amazing team and trainers, she became more confident, more social, and made many new furry friends along the way. And as many dog owners know – a happy and emotionally balanced dog changes the atmosphere at home too.

What makes Dogdrop special is that it does not feel like a traditional dog daycare. It feels modern, warm, thoughtful, and community-driven. The team genuinely cares about the dogs, understands behavior, and creates an environment where pets can safely socialize, play, relax, and learn.

Things you should know about Dogdrop in Fort Lauderdale

Dogdrop is a California-founded, venture-backed dog daycare company established in Los Angeles in 2018 by entrepreneurs Shaina Denny and Greer Wilk.

Built around a modern, membership-based model, Dogdrop was created to reinvent traditional dog daycare through a more flexible, design-forward, and professionally managed experience tailored to today’s urban pet owners.

The company has expanded across multiple U.S. markets including California, Texas, Colorado, and Florida, positioning itself as a growing national brand in the premium pet-care industry. Dogdrop is recognized for its emphasis on structure, supervised socialization, low dog-to-attendant ratios, and professionally trained staff members known as “Droperators,” who are CPR and First Aid certified and educated in dog behavior and group interaction.

Their facilities are intentionally designed with climate-controlled environments, high sanitation standards, and operational systems that prioritize safety, convenience, and behavioral enrichment for dogs.

This is What We Love About Dogdrop

Starting a business such as a dental practice is a long and demanding journey. First comes the year of preparation, planning, permits, branding, and positioning. Then comes the year of construction, building the space, promoting the vision, and introducing the brand to the community. By the time you enter your first fiscal year, you are already in your third year of effort – and honestly, that is often the hardest phase of all.

Now we are entering our second fiscal year, and things are finally starting to stabilize and improve. If everything is built properly, the third year should begin to feel more natural, more operational, almost like autopilot compared to the beginning.

During a process like this, every bit of support and convenience matters. That’s why I feel incredibly lucky to have Dogdrop so close to us. It makes life significantly easier because I know I can leave Kiki in a safe, professional, and caring environment while focusing on work. And as you can see, she’s always genuinely excited to spend time there and play with her friends.

In a fast-moving city where many people balance work, wellness, and busy schedules, having a trusted place for your dog nearby can make a huge difference. Whether you need daycare during work hours, socialization opportunities for your pup, or simply peace of mind knowing your dog is in good hands, Dogdrop is a fantastic option for Fort Lauderdale locals.

At Denteast, we believe communities become stronger when local businesses support one another and when people share experiences that genuinely improve quality of life. That is the spirit behind Dr. Sunny Recommends.

And if you happen to visit us for your dental appointment, don’t be surprised if you see some very happy dogs nearby.

Thinking About Trying Dogdrop?

We highly recommend stopping by, meeting their team, and seeing the space for yourself. Your dog might end up finding a second home there — just like Kiki did.
