At this stage in childhood development, sports are not only about improving physical strength, movement, conditioning, or technique. Especially in an individual sport like tennis, children develop emotional resilience, discipline, confidence, focus, responsibility, and the ability to manage pressure and emotions. These are life skills that go far beyond the court.

We are extremely happy with the Saviano program, the methodology, the atmosphere, and the incredible coaching staff that helps young athletes grow both as players and as human beings every single day.

We would also like to recognize Coach John Sherwood.

Over time, John has become much more than a coach in Maxim’s tennis journey. Through the countless hours spent both on and off the court, the conversations, guidance, mentorship, and genuine care he provides, he has become an important part of our extended family.

What we value most is that the coaching extends far beyond tennis technique. The guidance includes psychology, emotional development, physical conditioning, discipline, work ethic, education, decision-making, and the many life lessons that help shape a young person into a well-rounded individual.

The drills, workouts, training sessions, and match preparation are certainly important, but it is the consistent mentorship, encouragement, and leadership that make a lasting impact.

We recognize and deeply appreciate the role John and the entire Saviano team play in Maxim’s development not only as a tennis player, but as a confident, respectful, resilient, and well-rounded young person.
