Meet Dee: The Next Step in the Denteast Enhanced Experience

Technology has been part of Denteast from the very beginning.

We’ve always believed that great dentistry is deeply human, but that the right technology can make the experience around it smarter, simpler, more comfortable, and more accessible.

Over the years, we’ve continuously explored and adopted technologies that can improve the way our patients experience dental care. From advanced digital imaging and iTero scanning to modern online booking, Invisalign, digital patient onboarding, cybersecurity, communication systems, and new approaches to branding, education, photography, and video, we’ve never viewed technology as something separate from the patient experience.

For us, technology has a purpose. Learning new tools, understanding how they work, and applying them thoughtfully helps us stay competitive while continuously improving the dental experience we provide to our patients.

But there’s something important to understand about how we adopt new technology: before we introduce anything into our practice, we test it. We explore it, try it ourselves, learn how it works, and evaluate the experience. Only when we’re confident in both the process and the results do we integrate it into the way we work.

And now, it’s time for the next step.

For more than a year, our team has been carefully exploring, developing, testing, and refining how artificial intelligence could become genuinely useful within the Denteast experience-not simply because AI is new or popular, but because we saw an opportunity to solve a very real problem.

Our team cannot be available every minute of every day. Our patients, however, may have questions at any time.

You may be researching a dental treatment on a Saturday evening. You may want to know what to expect during your first visit. You may have questions about Invisalign, veneers, dental implants, cleanings, insurance, our technology, appointment preparation, or how our onboarding process works.

Now you can simply ask Dee.

Dee can help you find relevant information about Denteast, our services, your first visit, appointments, office information, and many of the questions patients typically have before connecting with our team.

And the experience is conversational.

You can type or simply speak.

Dee has gone through many adjustments, refinements, and adaptations since we first started developing the experience.

Our first launch was Dee 1.4. Since then, we’ve continued to test, learn, adjust, and improve. Today, we’re at Dee 2.3- and we’re still evolving. Just like any other digital product.

Every iteration is carefully designed, tested, and monitored with one purpose in mind: to serve you better.

It’s about listening, learning, and continuously making the experience better. We began with English and Spanish and are continuing to expand Dee’s multilingual capabilities so that more people can communicate in the language in which they feel most comfortable.

AI With a Human Purpose. How it all Started

Our interest in artificial intelligence didn’t begin with Dee.

One of the ideas that influenced our thinking about technology came from professor Yuval Noah Harari’s 21 Lessons for the 21st Century. Published in 2018, the book explores some of the major technological, political, and social questions facing modern society-including the growing influence of artificial intelligence.

It reinforced something we already believed: ignoring transformative technology doesn’t make it disappear.

We would rather understand it, learn from it, experiment with it responsibly, and determine where it can genuinely improve people’s lives.

But there is an important distinction.

At Denteast, we believe we have an extraordinary human team, and our vision for AI has never been about replacing people.

We believe much more strongly in education and augmentation: giving people who already understand their profession new tools that can help them work more effectively. Dentists understand dentistry. Dental professionals understand patients. Our team understands the personal relationships we’ve built with the people who trust us with their care.

AI should support that expertise. That philosophy is at the (AI) heart of Dee.

Dee learned from the people who know our patients best—our own team.

We built Dee around real Denteast experiences: the questions our patients ask, the conversations we have every day, and the knowledge our team has developed through years of patient care. She still has a lot to learn, but we already see her as a valuable extension of our team when we’re not around.

After hours, on weekends, or whenever someone from our team isn’t immediately available, Dee can help answer questions and make useful Denteast information easier to access. When we’re here, the personal attention and human connection Denteast was built around always come first.

Dentistry is Personal Again

There might seem to be a little irony in introducing artificial intelligence while one of our core beliefs is that dentistry should be personal again. But for us, the two ideas aren’t in conflict.

Every digital experience has a certain bounce rate. People leave websites, platforms, or communication channels for all kinds of reasons. Maybe they can’t find an answer quickly enough. Maybe the information isn’t presented in the format they prefer. Some people want to read. Others prefer video, images, email, chat, or simply having a conversation.

Our goal is to remove as much of that friction as possible.

Dee gives patients another way to connect with Denteast, ask questions, understand our services, and become comfortable enough to take the next step. If that helps more people move from researching dental care to actually walking through our doors, then Dee has done exactly what we designed her to do.

And that ultimately benefits people on both sides of the experience. More patients get access to the personalized dental care Denteast was built to provide, while our team gets more opportunities to do what they do best: care for patients, practice dentistry, build relationships, and grow professionally.

So Dee isn’t the destination. She helps people get to the destination-the human Denteast experience.

AI Agentic Company that Works Globally

Projects like this don’t happen overnight.

Dee is the result of more than a year of thinking about AI, patient behavior, communication, technology, branding, and how people increasingly search for and interact with healthcare information.

We also want to recognize our long-term branding and marketing partner, Digentio, formerly Designer and Gentleman, who has been with Denteast from the beginning.

Their team has helped us build and evolve the Denteast brand, develop our digital presence, rethink how patients discover and interact with us, and prepare our content and communication ecosystem for a world increasingly shaped by search engines, AI platforms, and conversational interfaces.

Dee is just another chapter in that collaboration.
