Preventive Dentistry Near Plantation Florida
Cleanings, Exams and Early Detection for Plantation

A drive of 15 to 20 minutes from Plantation for preventive dentistry can be worthwhile even when your teeth feel comfortable. Denteast recommends checkups roughly every six months, creating regular opportunities to identify concerns before symptoms develop. Keeping that rhythm helps make evaluation part of the calendar rather than a response only to discomfort.
Cavities between teeth, bone loss, infections around roots, and impacted teeth may develop without obvious symptoms. Feeling well does not necessarily reveal their presence. Regular checks provide opportunities to find these concerns before they become noticeable to you.
Images are reviewed with you, and recommendations are discussed before you leave. This connects the findings to any proposed next steps instead of leaving you to interpret the recommendation on your own. Questions are part of that conversation, helping clarify what has been identified.
For someone returning to Plantation, the useful outcome is understanding both the findings and the reason for any care suggested. You can plan the next checkup around the general six-month rhythm while considering any additional recommendations separately. Preventive visits provide a recurring opportunity for assessment and explanation, making future decisions depend on what is found rather than waiting for symptoms to determine when you seek care.

Convenient for Plantation Residents

What Is Biomimetic Dentistry?
At Denteast, we believe that the best dentistry often means preserving what nature has already created. That’s the foundation of biomimetic dentistry—a modern, science-based approach that focuses on conserving as much healthy tooth structure as possible while restoring strength, function, and aesthetics.
The word biomimetic means “to imitate nature.” Rather than removing large portions of a tooth to fit a restoration, biomimetic dentistry aims to repair damaged teeth in a way that closely replicates their original structure, flexibility, and performance. Every tooth is unique, and our goal is to help it function as naturally as possible for years to come.
This approach shapes every treatment we provide, from a single filling to a full restoration. Read how biomimetic dentistry works and why it matters for your teeth.

Dental Services for Plantation Residents

At Denteast, we believe some of the best dentistry happens before a problem becomes a problem. Preventive dentistry is about protecting your natural teeth, maintaining healthy gums, and identifying changes early- when treatment can often be simpler, more conservative, and less complex.
Located in Downtown Fort Lauderdale, our boutique practice combines comprehensive dental exams, regular or deep dental cleanings, periodontal evaluations, digital X-rays, oral health screenings, and personalized home-care recommendations to support your long-term oral health.
Regular visits allow us to monitor your teeth, gums, bite, and existing restorations. But some dental problems develop beneath the surface, long before they become painful or visible. Cavities between teeth, bone loss, infections around tooth roots, impacted teeth, and other conditions may require digital imaging to detect.
At Denteast, X-rays are taken when clinically necessary, using advanced digital imaging technology while keeping radiation exposure as low as reasonably achievable. A typical set of digital bitewing X-rays exposes you to approximately 5 microsieverts (µSv) of radiation. A panoramic X-ray is approximately 20 µSv. For perspective, a commercial flight from Miami to Seattle can expose you to approximately 50 µSv of natural cosmic radiation. A round trip? That’s already around 100 µSv. In other words, modern digital dental X-rays use very low radiation doses while providing information that can help detect problems early-often before they become more painful, complex, and expensive to treat. Patients from Plantation usually come in for checkup every six months.
Our technology includes handheld NOMAD® digital X-rays, Dentsply Sirona panoramic imaging, and 3D CBCT scanning for more advanced diagnostics and treatment planning. Prevention also starts with understanding. We take time to explain what we see, answer your questions, and help you make informed decisions.
Our philosophy is simple: preserve what’s healthy, detect concerns early, and help your natural smile stay strong for years to come. For patients from Plantation, regular dental visits, often around every six months, can help maintain healthy teeth and gums and identify potential concerns before they become more serious.

How Far Is Denteast from Plantation?
Denteast is in Downtown Fort Lauderdale. Most patients from Plantation reach us in 15–20 minutes, via Broward Boulevard, I-595, and US-1.
These are the Plantation neighborhoods our patients most often come from:
- Plantation Acres
- Jacaranda
- Central Park
- Midtown Plantation
- Lago Mar
- Broward Mall area
About Plantation
Its population grows significantly during the winter months as seasonal residents—including many Canadians—come to South Florida for warmer weather. With four local parks and easy access to beaches, shopping, recreation, and entertainment, Pembroke Park offers plenty within a short drive.
Plantation grew up around its trees. The city planted them by the thousand from the 1950s onward and never really stopped, which is why a drive down Cleary Boulevard or through Plantation Acres still feels like moving through a canopy rather than a suburb. It is one of Broward County’s established residential cities, built around large lots, quiet streets and a strong set of public schools. Plantation Heritage Park and the Jacaranda golf courses anchor the western side; Plantation Midtown and Westfield Broward Mall pull traffic toward the eastern edge, where the city meets University Drive. A large share of residents work in Fort Lauderdale, Sunrise or Davie, and the run east along Broward Boulevard or I-595 is part of the daily rhythm here. That commute is what puts Denteast within easy reach for appointments before or after work.
Questions from Plantation patients
Is Denteast located in Plantation?

Denteast is located in Downtown Fort Lauderdale, not in Plantation itself, and patients from Plantation drive over regularly. The practice sits at 540 N Andrews Ave, Suite 101, with garage parking in the building. Call us and we will tell you the quickest way in from your side of town.
Is parking available?

Yes. Free garage parking in the Motif Building, plus street parking on Andrews Ave.
Does Denteast accept dental insurance?

Denteast accepts most PPO dental plans. Our front desk checks your specific plan before treatment and explains what it covers, so there are no surprises when the bill arrives. Call us and we will look your plan up while you are on the phone.
What if I do not have dental insurance?

Denteast offers financing through Cherry, CareCredit and LendingClub, so treatment can be spread over monthly payments. Many of our patients have no dental insurance at all. Call us and we will walk you through the options before you commit to anything.
Do you see patients on Saturdays?

Denteast sees patients on Saturdays by appointment only. There are no walk-in Saturday hours, so the day is reserved for people who booked ahead. Call during the week to hold a Saturday slot.
Can I be seen the same day in an emergency?

Same-day emergency appointments are usually possible, depending on the schedule that day. A cracked tooth, sudden pain, a lost crown or swelling all count as emergencies. Call us as early in the day as you can and we will find you a slot.
Why do I need X-rays if nothing hurts?

Decay between teeth and bone loss around them are invisible to the eye and painless until they are advanced. Low-radiation digital X-rays show both while the fix is still small. We take them only when they are due, not at every visit. Call us if you would like to know what your last set showed.
Do you treat children as well as adults?

Denteast treats children alongside their parents, with sealants, fluoride treatment and preventive care appropriate to their age. Families often book consecutive appointments so the whole household is done in one trip. Call us and we will arrange the slots together.
Which Plantation neighborhoods do you serve most?

Most of our Plantation patients come from Plantation Acres, Jacaranda and the Broward Mall area.
