Patients from Fort Lauderdale come to Denteast for TMJ treatment. The plan depends on the likely cause of your symptoms.

Tension headaches that start at the temples and spread across the forehead are often traced back to the jaw. When the muscles that control chewing are overworked, through clenching or grinding, the strain radiates outward, and the headache is the symptom people notice first.

The temporomandibular joints connect your lower jaw to your skull. When they or the surrounding muscles are strained, the result can include jaw pain or tenderness, clicking or popping, headaches, facial discomfort, difficulty opening or closing the mouth, and grinding.

Our evaluation looks at your teeth, your bite, how your jaw moves and what you are experiencing, to understand what is contributing to the problem. A custom night guard is often recommended to protect the teeth from grinding and reduce stress on the joint, and for selected patients Botox may be considered to relax the overactive muscles.

For Fort Lauderdale residents the assessment and fitting are short visits Downtown, with garage parking in the Motif Building (first hour free with validation).

What Is Biomimetic Dentistry?

At Denteast, we believe that the best dentistry often means preserving what nature has already created. That’s the foundation of biomimetic dentistry—a modern, science-based approach that focuses on conserving as much healthy tooth structure as possible while restoring strength, function, and aesthetics.

The word biomimetic means “to imitate nature.” Rather than removing large portions of a tooth to fit a restoration, biomimetic dentistry aims to repair damaged teeth in a way that closely replicates their original structure, flexibility, and performance. Every tooth is unique, and our goal is to help it function as naturally as possible for years to come.

This approach shapes every treatment we provide, from a single filling to a full restoration. Read how biomimetic dentistry works and why it matters for your teeth.

Dental Services for Fort Lauderdale Residents

Treatment of TMJ at Denteast, Fort Lauderdale

Jaw pain, tension, headaches, or persistent teeth grinding can affect more than your smile—they can interfere with sleep, eating, speaking, and everyday comfort. At Denteast in Fort Lauderdale, we take a personalized approach to evaluating and managing TMJ-related concerns.

The temporomandibular joints (TMJ) connect your lower jaw to your skull and play an essential role in everyday jaw movement. When these joints or surrounding muscles become strained, symptoms may include jaw pain or tenderness, clicking or popping, headaches, facial discomfort, difficulty opening or closing the mouth, and teeth grinding or clenching.

Treatment begins with an evaluation of your teeth, bite, jaw movement, symptoms, and individual needs. Depending on the findings, Denteast may recommend a custom-made night guard to help protect your teeth from the effects of grinding and clenching while reducing stress on the jaw. For selected patients, additional treatment options may be considered based on the source and severity of their symptoms.

At Denteast, our goal is not simply to manage discomfort, but to understand what may be contributing to it and develop a thoughtful treatment plan around you. For patients from Fort Lauderdale, regular dental visits, often around every six months, can help maintain healthy teeth and gums and identify potential concerns before they become more serious.

Questions from Fort Lauderdale patients

Is Denteast located in Fort Lauderdale?

Denteast is located in Downtown Fort Lauderdale, not in Fort Lauderdale itself, and patients from Fort Lauderdale drive over regularly. The practice sits at 540 N Andrews Ave, Suite 101, with garage parking in the building. Call us and we will tell you the quickest way in from your side of town.

Is parking available?

Garage parking is available at the building and the first hour is free with our validation code. Street parking on the surrounding blocks is another option. Ask for the code at the front desk when you arrive.

Does Denteast accept dental insurance?

Denteast accepts most PPO dental plans. Our front desk checks your specific plan before treatment and explains what it covers, so there are no surprises when the bill arrives. Call us and we will look your plan up while you are on the phone.

What if I do not have dental insurance?

Denteast offers financing through Cherry, CareCredit and LendingClub, so treatment can be spread over monthly payments. Many of our patients have no dental insurance at all. Call us and we will walk you through the options before you commit to anything.

Do you see patients on Saturdays?

Denteast is closed on Saturdays. In some cases, for example to continue a treatment that started on Friday, the team can arrange a Saturday visit by appointment. Call the office Monday to Friday to book.

Can I be seen the same day in an emergency?

Same-day emergency appointments are usually possible, depending on the schedule that day. A cracked tooth, sudden pain, a lost crown or swelling all count as emergencies. Call us as early in the day as you can and we will find you a slot.
