Treatment of TMJ Near Lauderdale-by-the-Sea Florida
TMJ Dentist Serving Residents of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea

The drive of 15 to 20 minutes from Lauderdale-by-the-Sea may make sense when grinding or jaw symptoms need assessment before choosing care. At Denteast, the appointment considers your teeth, bite, jaw movement, and when symptoms occur. This provides a basis for discussing whether a custom night guard belongs in the recommendation.
Jaw pain or tenderness, frequent headaches, painful clicking or popping, facial discomfort, difficulty opening fully, and clenching or grinding are concerns to discuss. Their presence does not establish the same cause for every patient. Describing your experience helps relate the symptoms to the examination rather than assume an appliance is automatically appropriate.
A custom night guard is often recommended to protect teeth from grinding and help manage symptoms. When suitable, the sequence includes an assessment followed by a fitting appointment. For someone coming from Terra Mar, knowing those steps helps account for the return trip. You can ask how the protective role relates to the findings and why the guard is proposed. Understanding the assessment and fitting separately gives each visit a purpose, allowing you to consider the care with a clear explanation of how it addresses the concerns discussed.

What Is Biomimetic Dentistry?
At Denteast, we believe that the best dentistry often means preserving what nature has already created. That’s the foundation of biomimetic dentistry—a modern, science-based approach that focuses on conserving as much healthy tooth structure as possible while restoring strength, function, and aesthetics.
The word biomimetic means “to imitate nature.” Rather than removing large portions of a tooth to fit a restoration, biomimetic dentistry aims to repair damaged teeth in a way that closely replicates their original structure, flexibility, and performance. Every tooth is unique, and our goal is to help it function as naturally as possible for years to come.
This approach shapes every treatment we provide, from a single filling to a full restoration. Read how biomimetic dentistry works and why it matters for your teeth.

Dental Services for Lauderdale-by-the-Sea Residents

Jaw pain, tension, headaches, or persistent teeth grinding can affect more than your smile—they can interfere with sleep, eating, speaking, and everyday comfort. At Denteast in Fort Lauderdale, we take a personalized approach to evaluating and managing TMJ-related concerns.
The temporomandibular joints (TMJ) connect your lower jaw to your skull and play an essential role in everyday jaw movement. When these joints or surrounding muscles become strained, symptoms may include jaw pain or tenderness, clicking or popping, headaches, facial discomfort, difficulty opening or closing the mouth, and teeth grinding or clenching.
Treatment begins with an evaluation of your teeth, bite, jaw movement, symptoms, and individual needs. Depending on the findings, Denteast may recommend a custom-made night guard to help protect your teeth from the effects of grinding and clenching while reducing stress on the jaw. TMJ Treatment & Night Guards at Denteast
For selected patients, additional treatment options may be considered based on the source and severity of their symptoms.
At Denteast, our goal is not simply to manage discomfort, but to understand what may be contributing to it and develop a thoughtful treatment plan around you. For patients from Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, regular dental visits, often around every six months, can help maintain healthy teeth and gums and identify potential concerns before they become more serious.

About Lauderdale-by-the-Sea
Lauderdale-by-the-Sea is a walkable seaside town known for its relaxed coastal atmosphere, local restaurants and shops, and easy access to the beach and Anglin’s Square.
With direct connections to Fort Lauderdale through Commercial Boulevard, A1A, and US-1, Denteast is a convenient destination for residents seeking boutique dental care in Downtown Fort Lauderdale.
Lauderdale-by-the-Sea is small, roughly a mile of coastline, and it has fought to stay that way. There are no high-rises on the beach, the village centre at Commercial Boulevard and El Mar Drive is walkable end to end, and the pier at the end of Commercial is the town’s landmark. It is also one of the few places in the country where a living coral reef sits close enough to shore to swim to, which has made it a shore-diving destination for decades. The residential streets — Sea Ranch, Terra Mar, Bel Air — are low-rise and quiet, with a large share of seasonal and retired residents. Commercial Boulevard runs west toward I-95, while A1A and US-1 carry traffic south through Fort Lauderdale beach toward downtown.

Questions from Lauderdale-by-the-Sea patients
Is Denteast located in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea?

Denteast is located in Downtown Fort Lauderdale, not in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea itself, and patients from Lauderdale-by-the-Sea drive over regularly. The practice sits at 540 N Andrews Ave, Suite 101, with garage parking in the building. Call us and we will tell you the quickest way in from your side of town.
Is parking available?

Garage parking is available at the building and the first hour is free with our validation code. Street parking on the surrounding blocks is another option. Ask for the code at the front desk when you arrive.
Does Denteast accept dental insurance?

Denteast accepts most PPO dental plans. Our front desk checks your specific plan before treatment and explains what it covers, so there are no surprises when the bill arrives. Call us and we will look your plan up while you are on the phone.
What if I do not have dental insurance?

Denteast offers financing through Cherry, CareCredit and LendingClub, so treatment can be spread over monthly payments. Many of our patients have no dental insurance at all. Call us and we will walk you through the options before you commit to anything.
Do you see patients on Saturdays?

Denteast is closed on Saturdays. In some cases, for example to continue a treatment that started on Friday, the team can arrange a Saturday visit by appointment. Call the office Monday to Friday to book.
Can I be seen the same day in an emergency?

Same-day emergency appointments are usually possible, depending on the schedule that day. A cracked tooth, sudden pain, a lost crown or swelling all count as emergencies. Call us as early in the day as you can and we will find you a slot.
How long is the drive from Lauderdale-by-the-Sea?

Denteast is around fifteen minutes from the village, either down A1A through the beach or west on Commercial Boulevard and south on US-1. Garage parking is in the building with the first hour free. Call us for the validation code.
Do you see seasonal residents?

A good share of our patients are here for part of the year, and we plan treatment around that — consolidating visits before you leave and scheduling the next stage for when you return. Call us and tell us your dates when you book.
